A physician’s time is precious and many turn to technologies to improve efficiencies, access clinical information online, and to coordinate with their staff or colleagues. So why is it that technology adoption among healthcare professionals is among the lowest? It’s because most software is built without the doctor in mind.

Bio:
Irene is passionate about leveraging technology to improve the healthcare system and our personal health. As a Director at PetalMD, the leading Canadian medical scheduling software, she’s responsible for growing the company. For the past 3 years Irene has led the Hacking Health Montreal chapter and has driven global expansion for the non-for-profit. Her entrepreneurial journey started a decade ago leading technical and marketing teams in various industries such as the healthcare, internet, and eCommerce. Irene studied BioInformatics at the University of Western Ontario and McGill.
