Aleksandar Matic, PhD, is a computer scientist whose main research interests lie in data mining for understanding online and offline behaviours. His research on modelling and analysing human behaviour and personal traits is applied in multidisciplinary domains, which are mainly oriented towards healthcare and ubiquitous computing.

Aleksandar is the Head of Research at Telefonica Alpha – Health Moonshot, located in Barcelona. Prior to joining Telefonica Alpha, he was an Associate Researcher at Telefonica Research for 3 years, and before that he was a researcher at CREATE-NET research centre in Italy for 5 years. He obtained his PhD degree in computer science from the University of Trento, Italy. He has served as a reviewer for a number of ubiquitous computing related conferences and journals, a guest editor of special issues of various journals, and also a committee member of several conferences including Mobile HCI, MindCare Symposium, Pervasive Health Conference, Digital Health, etc.
