Andrew is a PhD researcher in the field of machine learning and language development at the Department of Computer Science, University of Liverpool. He has a BEng and MEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Warwick and has worked as a software engineer in various sectors including automotive research and development, medical, web, GIS, advertising and others.
He is investigating the use of machine learning techniques with mobile applications to boost first language acquisition, with a view to ultimately developing a tool that could help children with language delays.
