Biography:

Dr Michael Edelstein is a public health doctor specialised in infectious disease epidemiology. He is a research fellow at the Centre on Global Health Security and a medical consultant at Public Health England’s immunisation department with particular interest and expertise in immunisation, surveillance and data sharing.

Among other emergencies he was deployed to Liberia during the 2014-16 Ebola outbreak.
