Bolette Søborg completed her M.D. degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1999, followed by a PhD in infectious disease epidemology from University of Copenhagen in 2010. She is an alumi of the ECDC fellowship programme in field epidemiology training, EPIET. She has a specialization in public health medicine.

Bolette is employed as a senior consultant at the Danish Health Authority which promote public health and establish a good framework for the health service in Denmark. The Authority offers advice to the Danish Ministry of Health and other governmental, regional and municipal authorities in the area of health and elderly care. Bolette is currently working with communicable diseases and as programme manager for the Danish childhood vaccination programme.
