Michael Edelstein is a Medical doctor specialised in infectious disease epidemiology, with expertise in surveillance systems, immunisation, outbreak investigations and global health policy, in both routine and emergency contexts. Currently a consultant epidemiologist at Public Health England and a consultant research fellow at the Centre for Global Health Security, Chatham House, he has previously worked for national public health agencies and international public health organisations in Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia.
