Alain April is a Professor of Software Engineering at the ETS University in Montreal. With more than 30 years in finance/banking, healthcare and telecommunications projects, his specific expertise is in Machine Learning (ML), Big Data, Cloud Computing, database and BI, software quality assurance, maintainability and IT process mapping/conformity. He is more comfortable with practical applications of AI, the use of open source data and technology as well as technology transfer to industry.
Professor April was the winner of the ISO award for higher education in standardization (in 2011). He has also published books on: Software Maintenance Management and Software Quality Assurance.
