Aleksandar Matic, PhD, is a computer scientist whose main research interests lie in data mining applied to investigate the complex relationships between online and offline behaviors. His research on modeling and analyzing human behavior and personal traits is applied in multidisciplinary domains, which are mainly oriented towards healthcare and ubiquitous computing.
Aleksandar is an Associate Researcher at Telefonica Research in Barcelona since January 2014. Prior to joining Telefonica, he was a researcher at CREATE-NET research center in Italy for 5 years. He obtained his PhD degree in computer science and telecommunications from the University of Trento, Italy. He has served as a reviewer for a number of ubiquitous computing related conferences and journals, a guest editor of special issues of various journals, and also a committee member of several conferences including the MindCare symposium (a conference founder and a general co-chair), Pervasive Health ’16 Conference (a TPC co-chair), and Digital Health ’16 (a track co-chair).
