Weather

Montreal has a short, mild spring. In April the weather is generally quite cool but also has periods of strong sunlight, and occasional flurries of snow. Visitors can expect at least some rain about 11 days out of 30 in April.

Average maximum daytime temp: 11ºC / 52ºF
Average minimum daytime temp: 1ºC / 34ºF

We recommend that you pack warm, water-resistant outerwear, an umbrella, comfortable closed-toe shoes and water-resistant footwear, especially if you’re planning to be outside much. It’s also a good idea to pack sunglasses and sunscreen as the sun can still be quite strong despite the cool temperatures.
