Andrew is a Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Science, University of Liverpool. He has a BEng and MEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Warwick and has worked as a software engineer in various sectors including automotive research and development, medical, web, GIS, advertising and others.
His interests now lie in mobile and web applications, and specifically ways to positively influence health and development. He is currently part of the LuCiD team, developing the BabyTalk app: a smartphone, tablet and web-enabled application for parents, researchers and practitioners to monitor, assess and promote children’s language development.
LuCiD – The ESRC International Centre for Language and Communicative Development – is a five year research collaboration working with partners from across the world to transform our understanding of how children learn to communicate with language.
