Santiago Hors-Fraile has a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering (Spain), and another one in Computational and Software Techniques in Engineering (UK). He is Business Developer at the Spanish SME ‘Salumedia Tecnologías’, and PhD candidate at the University of Seville. His research deals about gamified digital health solutions to improve adherence and behavioral change. He has been working in e-health projects since 2010.
He has been involved in European-funded projects about exergames for the elderly, and also about smoking cessation using smartphone-based game techniques. He has also taken part in gamified communication and promotion of healthy sexual habits among teenagers projects, and serious video games for medical training. As a certified gamification expert, he has been speaker in several gamification seminars and workshops for organizations such as the IMF Business School, the Andalusian School of Patients, and the pharmaceutical companies Sanofi Iberia and Janssen.
